It’s important to address any potential issues as soon as they’re identified to prevent further damage. We will help identify existing or developing problems with your forklift battery and provide guidance on the repair process. Additionally, we will help you determine whether repairing or replacing the battery is the best course of action.

If standard operational remedies do not resolve the issue, it suggests there may be an internal problem. In this case, disassembling the battery cells for inspection is necessary to examine the internal components and sediment. If the issue can only be addressed by fully rebuilding the cells or the entire forklift battery, this should be reported to the appropriate authorized personnel for further action.

Test Discharge

A capacity test, or test discharge, is an important diagnostic tool used to assess a forklift battery’s actual discharge performance compared to its rated 6-hour capacity. This test is especially useful when equipment isn’t performing as expected and can help determine if a battery needs to be replaced.

If a forklift battery consistently delivers less than 80% of its rated ampere-hour capacity, it may indicate that some cells are failing or that the battery has reached the end of its useful life. In either case, it’s a clear sign that replacement is necessary.

A test discharge involves discharging a fully charged forklift battery at a fixed rate under controlled conditions, providing an accurate measurement of its performance and remaining capacity.
